Ten Pounds

So I've been walking more and eating right,
and still fit into all the same large clothes! Arghhh!

I have to shift my perspective from earthly to eternal.
Keep the temple healthy.
Be a disciple - exercise discipline.
"Be still" - is not an excuse to be lazy.

Exercise daily in God—no spiritual flabbiness, please!
Workouts in the gymnasium are useful,
but a disciplined life in God is far more so,
making you fit both today and forever.
You can count on this. Take it to heart.

Hi Susan -

Delightful cartoon! I've always been a skinny Minnie, but lately...what can I say? A pound here and a pound there add up.

I hit the gym 3-4 times a week so I use up some of those calories. What a lesson for us spiritually! If we just take in the Word and never give it out, we lose our spiritual fitness. We were meant to share!

Blessings,
Susan :)

I love the verse from the message. I wish I could lose some weight too, but alas, at least I am spiritually fit!

Susan: This is, indeed, frustrating.
I need to remind myself that it's health I need to focus on, not looks.
Love,
Jen
